Hey guys I'm going to be using a boat for the first time this year on my new water, I have purchased a Minn kota c2 30lb outboard and was just wondering what lesuire battery you guys would advise to use? My sessions will generally be 3-4 nights a week so need something to last that sort of use. THANKS

If your budget allows ? then one of the new Lipo batteries is the way
otherwise IMHO instead of a 120ah lead acid that weighs a ton ! get 2 x 75-85ah batteries that way you will never be stuck and lot less weight to lug about charges faster too when I had mine one was kept on a solar panel all day

Just like to add the following for the OP
If you are going to compare lithium with lead then remember the lithium will maintain its voltage and run your motor until almost fully discharged.
Output voltage on a lead acid will reduce a lot quicker as it discharges so its usable capacity will be less than it's stated capacity. AGM rather than flooded also worth considering, but best to avoid deep discharge on either.
Motors will not like the reduced voltage so it's best to budget for a lead acid with almost double the capacity if you are going to compare it to a lithium.

Be aware that LiFePO4 batteries cannot be charged below 0deg C, it will degrade the battery permanently.

I've had nothing but grief with expensive lithium batteries, go to Halfords and get one of there own brand lead acids.
