Hello guys,

i am currently looking at purchasing a small and light shelter and am considering one of the above has any one on here owned both as i have had a tempest brolly before and found it low but looking at the sizes on the nash website it says the hide is taller.

if any one has any info it would be great

Not exactly what you asked but for example i had the tempest air v2 for a few years and as good as it is it is too low it cripples me and my bedchair touches the sides very little room .Now got the hide xl and its perfect especially with being able to get the bedchair right to the back.There is loads of room and being 6,1 its plenty high enough bedchair doesnt touch the sides despite the footprint not being too big.Overall its perfect exactly what i wanted over the moon with it only downside is condensation so may get a wrap

Sorry to single you out, but the 'search' function on this forum will have a mountain of info. I just don't get people coming on and asking the same questions time, time, time, time and time again. Tempest/Hide has been done to absolute death (as have 'what bite alarm' posts) and users of each different type will have the same unwavering opinions.

Seriously, just do a search or even flick back a few pages and there'll be multiple threads about this.

I recently moved from a Trakker Ultralite to a Nash Hide (not xl).
It is plenty large enough to get my indulgence into the back with it only just touching at the ends, with food bag in front at one end and Spod buckets at the other end in front, and tackle bags underneath the bed.
I'm 6'2 and can sit up not hitting my head.
I do have to duck down to get in and out, but I'm an unsociable sod so I'm not in and out all day long!!
I wanted a small shelter which is easy to set up and move round, and this fits the bill.
I would like to see the hide XL or new tempest 100 (or is it 150??) but I think they will be more like a 1.5 man where the hide is certainly a 1 man!!

I was undecided between the Hide XL and the Tempest 100t. I went for the tempest in the end , partly because the skull cap and groundsheet from my old one should fit it (well they sort of do).
I put it up in the garden to fit said skull cap and left it up during the two recent storms and it was rock solid the whole time it was up . Sounds like it would be ideal for you.

Some mega deals on the Fox Evo Compact at the moment. I got one and although have only put up in Kitchen I'm more than happy with it

recently had the same decision for a day shelter. Went with the Hide, the space was more useable for me with a better view out.

I have the new tempest 100t solid bit of kit stood up to very strong winds recently. That's what I would pick but tbh it's upto u

Tempest all day long

I had a tempest v2 brolly, i'm only 5.7" but found it too low. I was constantly leaning down to look out, admittedly this was with the front door on which does make it slightly lower. Sold it and went for a Nash Hide XL and wow what a difference, really please i changed, so much more room and just as light / easy to put up.

Can you fit a normal sized bed hair in there and still have room. For a couple of bags or a small table?
