Im yet to use my wrap with my cyprinus F&L and so I thought id ask the masses.
Does it actually do anything?
Obviously it will provide a front so will stop rain coming in but that aside does it stop condensation surely you need an air gap for that to work

Seemed to hold the condensation back on a particularly wet 3 day session I did back in the autumn. Makes it pitch black inside as well- if you've got the door zipped right up due to driving rain etc.

It'll give you a little bit of privacy when bashing one out on those long dark winter nights lol

All I use it for is to keep the wind and rain out. Cant say it's made any difference in winter to warmth though and have had some mega condensation, probably made worse by the fact their is no air gap.

I have the aqua version. Yes it turns it into a full shelter and never have condensation. Love the way you can have the door half way down. Only drawback it's a mega tight fit too put on.

It will form a front on the bivvy but if it doesn't have a separation between trolley and skin all you do is double the thickness and condensation will form. This is why Tempest's and others work because there is separation

exactly as I thought regards it not reducing condensation as it needs an air gap, nice to have the front though appreciate the feedback

wonder if you got a couple of those cheap swimming pool Noodles
and put between that would make a decent air gap with hardly any weight

Done 2 nights this week under my cyprinus version of the fast and lite with the overwrap on.
No condensation and I was plenty warm enough.

i thought about using loft insulation in bags between bivvy and skin on tempest to aid insulation but thought its a lot of faffing about when you move 17 times in a night to stay on the fish like i always do as mentioned in videos and mags
What about single tubes that are inflated, like the balloons to make sausage dogs as that would be light and help. watch someone borrow and use this idea as innovation

I do have the door open least 6 inch this may help reduce condensation but when brolly wraps first came out there was no gap on them then and their selling point was warmth and reduce condensation
