Going to start making my own hook baits again and looking for peoples experience with the BAF pop up mix.
How buoyant is the mix, compared to say polaris that I have used before? Looking to make 12mm pop ups that will hold a size 4 up on a multi and balance out an 18mm on a snowman. Will it be up to this?
If not maybe I'm better off doing the wafter mix and making some balanced singles and 12mm cork balls as the pop ups.
Would you say that the mix would benefit from additional powders as part of the attraction profile?
Thanks

I've had no problems 12 millers holding up a size 4 even after adding a further 15% of other powdered ingredients. It's probably the best on the market.

Thanks Boycie, that's good to know. Do you use their liquids and flavours too?

90% of there products are brilliant mate. Depending how long you want them buoyant for. 24 hours there fine. Noticed after that they start to struggle a little ( 12mm pop and and size 4 mugga , metal bait screw ) But that's fine for me any longer and I'm fishing the wrong spot lol. 14mm did 72 hours before it started to droop. That was with 10% added attractors. Powder and liquid.
Never under stood these forever pop ups that claim to be full of attractors completly locked in. Much rather it took on water and release attractor.

Not used any of their flavours but I use plenty of their hydros and other liquids. You won't go wrong with them.

Went for the pop up bundle with tutti flavour and beta stim liquid.
Any other powders people would put in? Was thinking a sweetener, citric acid and GLM or Salmino.

Just made my first batch. They swelled up a hell of a lot when boiled for 90 seconds. Went from a 14 to around an 18
Is this normal? I had enzyme treated yeast liquid in the mix, I wonder if this could have caused gassing?

Never had them swell like that but then I don't boil them. Water to boiling point , Knock off the boil until calm then cook for 70-90 seconds.
