I used to do a lot of rabbiting with a lurcher when I was a bit younger I was around 15 and the abuse I got then was unreal. The police were sometimes called I had permission on the land but the police would always take the antis side. I carried paperwork with landowners phone number signed and even insurance documents it was all pointless. In the end the landowners wouldn't let you on any more because it was just too much drama.
On a park lake near me I used to do a few days and 2 elderly woman used to berate me on the regular
I must have one of those faces. The one women would say that's him he is a regular always here,the other one would chirp up about putting hooks in innocent animals. She seen the missis drop me off with the little one in the car and would say I was a **** parent out abusing animals instead of spending time with my daughter. I heard it all lol must be a sucker for punishment because I put my name on the waiting list for the syndicate

Its quite simple to understand,you can read into what I am saying....
Go onto the field sports channel on YouTube, there is a recent video,called Stop the Hate...
If you find what I have written confusing, I can't be any clearer..
Its is about someone doing a legitimate and legal pursuit,and not getting protection from the police,..

Didn't know what you was referring to never seen the YouTube channel before but like abit of pest control myself so a good one to watch out myself!
Agreed with your thoughts or where you were going with them anyway everyone nowadays seems to be proper snowflakes it's unbelievable poor bloke losing out on business and his reputation for other people simply having a difference in opinion!
I think that if these antis or whatever they are calling them get there way with this then I'm sure angling would not be too far out of their scopes, excuse the pun, as it would be seen as a sport causing the harm of animals!

Unfortunately anti's seem to be on the increase again it's become trendy again. I guess it's linked to the rise in vegans and climate change.
If they consider farming animals in humane and a cause of climate change, us anglers will be tarred with the same brush as all field sports by the anti's.

That's quite shocking to watch.
I must say that i've only even known a few people that go shooting but i will say that they were as humane as they could be in what they did.
One lake i can remember being on the Canada Geese were a real problem because of the sheer number of them on a relatively small lake and all the muck they left everywhere.
So i can see the case that there is a time and a place when the numbers need to be controlled.

There are degrees of support and opposition.
I love my fishing but I find the idea of a bunch of tw**s on horseback watching a pack of dogs tear a fox to pieces quite disgusting.
My dad's family were farmers and would shoot to control pests on their land. I think that's fair enough. I'm not into the idea of shooting animals for sport though.

Maybe mal but there are plenty of things I disagree with but i wouldn't set out to abuse or intimidate anyone. We are all welcome to have our own beliefs,hobby's etc. But to abuse a man and his family because your beliefs are not the same as his is outrageous. What the bloke was doing was perfectly legal to receive threats to your life is out or order. In America it is illegal to obstruct hunters and it's taken very seriously. Unfortunately I don't think it will ever happen in this country.
