Anyone see one guys catch report from this venue last week? 30 fish including 2 x 80s and 1 x 90. Broke the lake record twice in a week. Some fishing that!

Well done to Bluewater, absolutely amazed by that news, how did fish grow that large in a lake that size! It is possible though, even the fish in my old lake a couple of carp have grown to 75lbs and I stocked them as mid 20´s back in 2002/2003, I would never have believed that was possible. A real shame that the sturgeon (2 x mid 70lbers) I sold (from my other lake at Charmont) to Bluewater back in the mid 2000´s didn´t survive, there again they were nuisance/trophy fish which never helped growth rates.

I think the Bluewater guys know their onions. They have a day ticket in the UK where they have a fish touching 50 which has grown on from 22lb

its a deep lake
and when Jim owned it he had very sensible bait rules no shelf life baits and only particals provided by him and he sold QUALITY baits at very sensible prices UNLIKE some short sighted lakes that rip people off with inflated prices
that way only decent grub was going in

I agree Gerry. In recent years it was pellet and quality boilies only. With Jim's excellent fishery management the carp growth has been truly amazing. Like many regulars we have watched the carp getting bigger every year. I remember Miggsy being caught at 40 lb and the big koi at 30 lb. I know Jim was proud that there were no stolen fish in the lake. It will be interesting to see how the new owners manage the venue.

Just by chance I saw a post on Facebook today from Waterside Chesham, same outfit that own Bluewater. They have had their first 50lber out that is a lake original. Not bad for a day ticket.

Hi, Their website is down & I am trying to find out if ther are many restrictions on bait ?
Can I use sweetcorn, or do they supply thier own baits / pellet/ particle.
Is it "peggy" .
I know its deep but are the margins shallow.
Is the weed still an issue.
Any feedback would be apprieciated.
please feel free to PM or text me & I will call you back.
Cheers
Mike

Is there an actual website for Bluewater?
Not a Facebook page.
I'd be interested in how the draw is staged,
Maximum anglers allowed, is there options to fish different parts of the lake (not the same as moving swims)
Cheers Mike

Yes there is the link is on the facebook page. Last year could`nt use sweetcorn and only their pellet and your own boilie no shelflife. Draw is done by picking ping pong balls numbered 1-8 out of a bag, no 1 has 1st pick of swim no 2 has second pick and so on.

Lovely lake. I was lucky enough to go there a couple years ago.
Had fish to 48lb...infact had 2 40's on the bank at the same time as I was packing away on the last morning!

Errr, it's only deep down the far end, the point swim and that end of the lake is shallow and subject to a lot of weed growth.
The bait he sold was Proline garlic and Robin red from memory which isn't a great quality bait but it did catch...
