Hi mate I fish predominantly from a boat (well dropping rigs etc) and I have the 3.5lb 9ft 3 piece rods and they are bloody brilliant!
They play fish beautifully despite the three pieces, and they are a very decent casting rod too if you need to cast but I would say they are limited by accuracy to around 90 yards or so. I drop 12oz leads with mie and they have the backbone to do this sort of work adequately.
I would most def recommend the newer versions with the alps seats, the black fujis paint fails very quickly on the Fuji versions.
The tip rigs are unfortunately not the best ad ive swapped mine for some anti frap kigans

Hi mate just purchased 10foot version super & I mean super slim quality build very nice cosmetics ive only done a quick morning pasty bashing just to try them out but very pleased casts a 2 oz lead 70 yds no problem with x line as well bought mine for a small club water ive just got a ticket for also so easy to carry really light as i said if your on a small water & like the idea of being a bit more mobile i would say get them you won't be disappointed. Also the net is very very nice I purchased that as well .

Thinking I might sell my Daiwa Infinities 3.25lb MT cheap and buy another one, only use two rods at any time anyway.
I was unsure after all the silly comments about broom handles and stuff, but Century have such a fine reputation for their rods why should I have doubted them. It's as the cheaper end of tackle you have to be more careful of I've found. Quality mostly comes through in the end!

Friend of mine has a set of the 9ft 3.5's and rated them highly. I've played a few fish on them too and like them a lot. He's had carp over 60 and 80+ cats , and quite frankly bullied the catfish in on more than one occasion.
