Gonna be fishing Par fishery front lake in a few months, has anyone got any info on it?

Front is the easier of the two. Some nice fish in there and not too difficult to find, fish close to the spit if your either side of it. Small pva bags work quite well there, if the lily pads are up on you right hand side then that is always a good spot

No worries mate.
If you fish the road bank, then I find your best of going in one of the further swims from the car park, you got reeds to the left which they hold up in or the spit right in front. To be honest you should be ok wherever you go. You doing week or weekend? You can check your dates on their webpage to see if any others are on the same time as you

we doing Friday to Sunday and there is going to be 8 of us there, had a look on you tube and it looks like most things work, might even break out the luncheon meat for the cats lol

You should catch a few between you. My mates had a few cats over there on luncheon meat. Some nice tench in there too.

I'm going Saturday week for the day and Sunday morning, fished it last October 3 of us Friday to Sunday, had 14 fish between us, and a 34lb cat, caught all our fish on fake corn popped up over particle all along the spit

Hello,
I've fished PAR on and off for years: both Front and Back Lakes.
A few tips:
Front Lake:
Most fish come from fishing towards the spit - either side is productive or opposite. Try and get as close in as you can - the margin drops down fairly quickly a few rod lengths out.
Dont neglect your nearest margins either, there are over hanging trees all around the lake, plus reeds/lilly pads in the summer. The fish do come in close and hold up to these areas. Personally, I've never caught from the open water, but I see people catch here and they do show here.
Bait: Most "standard" approached work. Boillies, particles all work. I've generally baited sensibly vs the "spod it in and sit back" approach. Personally prefer a bottom bait here, its just what I've done better on
Bottom is largely clay - weed free and no snags.
Easier of the two lakes, not a runs waster by any means, but if you get it right and they are on it, then you stand a decent chance of picking a few up over 24hrs.
Back lake:
Totally different to the Front in many ways; but most of the fish come from the spit again or the margin areas.
It can get weedy in the summer; but much much improved since tons of it was removed.
Zigs take a few - boillies and particles work fine - personally prefer a pop up just to ensure its sat up over any weed/debris.
Rarely see a fish show on this lake, so finding them can be a bit of a tinker.
Harder going that the front - but not impossible
Summary:
A good little complex - I usually aim the Front lake these days; decent head of fish. Mostly upper doubles with a good smattering of 20s. Think the largest resident is circa 27/28.
Owners and bailiff both decent guys and will offer up advice if you need it.

Bromages - blast from the past! Got my first carp rod from there!
I used to be a member when they had it, cut my teeth when I was about 11yrs old on PAR!
Yes, perfectly safe. I've never had/seen any bother there - the baliff / owner have been around every day I've been.

The whole complex is totally different since then - back then it was literally just 2 holes in the groud, raised up amongst the fields as well - wind used to howl even in the summer! The tree's have come up a treat over the last 25yrs, whole complex is tree lined now
I think the fact its a couple quid more expensive than a run of the mill runs water and you have to book in advance for limited swims helps keep the idiots away. Must have done dozens of nights on my tod - never had any worries.

I didn't know Bromages ever ran Par Fishery?
When i fished it back in the early 2000's it was County Angling in Hornchurch that managed it.

Didnt even know county had it!
I think it was passed about a bit back in the day, there was certainly little investment on the place (or so it felt) until Brentwood got hold of it - whenever that was!
Good little lakes though, hence I keep returning!

I fished it when it was first stocked, had it to myself for a while. old fella called jack polter from bulphan village used to keep his eye on it, also china lane lakes(slough house) which I also fished when first stocked. must be getting on for 30 years ago. was just a walk across the fields with my rod bag and jam sarnies..some good bomb holes with crucians in amongst them fields..well used to be.i remember del Richie working in county angling, he worked in Olympus sport west Thurrock before county, i used to get my bait off him there..mission baits condensed milk

Used to head to Slough for a runs session when I was 'learning' - wasn't much education mind, it was so heavily stocked. Usually just fished a couple pellets on a hair and a couple pouches over the top - catch all day long!
