I see new lighter, longer, efficient turbine blades are being produced by the experts. You'll have to find a high voltage expert on storage to put you straight on wind conditions.

I was being sarcastic, you seem to mention it a lot. Get over it, lots of people have disabilities and dont keep bringing it up. People always seem to expect others to do things, but come up with excuses why they personally cant. Bit like MP's.

As you say we have to provide greener alternatives wherever possible but don't be greenwashed.
I don't have any problem with well designed and well used cycle lanes. I do have a problem with badly designed and hardly used cycle lanes that cause pollution.
Maybe the cycle lanes where you are just painted lines on the road, the sort that vehicles can pull over to allow emergency services to pass. I'm talking about segregated dual lane cycle lanes where that's not possible. It's not nice to have an ambulance with blues and twos behind you and you can't let them pass, especially when the cycle lane to your left is empty.
That's ok according to Mal though, as he says they'll only be waiting outside when they eventually get to the hospital anyway.
Is using public transport a good idea, should we encourage people to leave their cars at home and take the bus? You won't do that by removing bus lanes and putting the bus in amongst the other traffic. I'm also against designs that allow bus passengers to alight a bus into a cycle lanes, that's dangerous.
How about a pay per mile system. For the amount of driving I do I could probably afford it, anyone like that idea?

I hate to tell you this, but in this country, people with disabilities are being ignored, made fun of or expected to do as non disabled people are. Within work and my own time I have taken a number of disability awareness courses, for helping guests, customers and staff.
The number of times I see cars parked in disabled spaces, when the owner is not disabled, people taking the mickey out of deaf or Autistic people who have speech impediments.
About the only disabled people who get respect seems to be the blind, but even they struggle at times.

Years ago, when I was 'normal', (open to debate), I would walk or cycle, happily use the bus or train, now that is impossible. In fact to get to work at Ufford Park I used to walk or cycle to Ipswich railway station, get the train to Melton, then work or cycle to work. The same journey in reverse to get home. Only 2 years ago!
It was actually almost as fast as driving, in fact at times if the Orwell Bridge was jammed up, faster.

I wasn't being flippant. I was making the point that middle England gets outraged because an ambulance is delayed by a protest or by a load of cars (not cycles) in congestion but they'll continue to ignore the everyday debacle of ambulances queued outside hospitals.
It's always the 'go to' story to create division. Want the public to hate the protesters / traffic control measures?Tell them an ambulance was delayed. But for gods sake don't give the nurses, A and E triage staff or ambulance drivers a fair pay rise eh?
My wife helped an older lady who had slipped on the ice this morning. After 17 attempts trying to get through they were told there was no chance of an ambulance and could she make her own way to hospital or call 111. No LTN or cycle lanes to blame.
Congestion and pollution problems are down to too many cars and too many people refusing to change. That's why the air is so clogged up. You keep saying that LTN just moves 'the problem' somewhere else. Maybe some better focus on the actual 'problem' that exists might be a solution.
