I've been meaning to buy some new gear for a while and after get my compensation money I bought some stuff:

3x penn affinity 7000 reels
Fox mr+ bite alarms
Some bait from CC Moore
End tackle mainly Nash hooks

Ended up with some new delks and now finding that I just have to buy some more bits to go with them, there are some good deals out there at the moment with people trying to keep some cash coming in, if in doubt always worth giving future fishing a call as very helpful.
Couple more Defiant MPS dreadnaught bank sticks and some Neville swan necks to go with my other MPS dreadnaughts and Neville swan necks

What are the dreanoughts like weight wise? I'm looking at getting some new banksticks and I'm undecided between these and jag excavators.

Keith may be able to give you some figures, but being titanium I would imagine they are a bit lighter than the Jag stainless stuff.
The stainless auger points and hex heads on the dreadnoughts will add a bit of weight, so if weight reduction is your ultimate goal there is the option of the standard TBN, but I doubt the extra is any more than a tin of corn. I carry a 19mm socket wrench if I know the ground is tricky and they will pull down into absolutely anything.
I think the main selling point is that you speak directly to Keith, who makes everything to your spec for about the same price as something off the shelf. I know if I ever need something weird and wonderful for a specific venue he will be able to knock it up. The quality is great and he doesn't try and pull your pants down with the price of accessories like stage stands etc.
Anyone can go and buy a Jag set up in AD and I'm sure it's good stuff, but the MPS kit feels a bit more special..

Is the LP version more suited to fishing as it can be used with a regulator and the Coleman gas cannisters.

It's more versatile as you can still run it from hp cans, where I don't think you can run the hp version from a big bottle.
I think gerry told me that on here the day after I bought the hp version
I quite fancy the cob with the extras so I can do a beer can chicken on the bank, seemed a bit bulky when I looked at them tho

I like the look of these or the cobb but like you say the cobb looks quite bulky.I prefer the idea of not using gas too
