Would agree with you Ian, I was a member for 10 years so saw the fish weights coming through. Whilst I caught many carp from Grenville for a weekender blanks could also be common. In the early days multiple hits were common place (I think 14 fish over 15ib up to high twenties in a day was the most I had) but as the carp grew bigger and got wiser it definitely slowed up. There is a train of thought that we as anglers pushed them out due to our constant love of long range fishing! In latter years it was a very much bait and wait water but again unless you have the time to wait ( a lot of my trips were 24hours) you could miss the shoal turning up altogether. As for price I know what I paid until leaving in May 2022 due to ill health, what it is now I'm not sure but a call to Paul (contact details on the website for waiting list) should sort out that question. It is/was expensive but the quality and size of fish are second to none (I do believe Grenville will do the next UK record), you are fishing in secure surroundings there are some facilities there (these granted needed a bit of TLC when I left but may have been sorted now). The site is bio secure and otter fenced, as the saying goes you pays your money and makes your choice.

Grens is a superb water, very well managed and has more or less everything you could ever want from a "premium" fishery....it isn't cheap to join and the boilie only rule makes heavy baiting costly....but...you certainly get what you pay for. In terms of fish stock, yes there is a large head of Carp but at 72 acres with depths down to 40ft there is a lot of water for them to hide in!
Completely agree, it is not an easy water. The rules are in place predominantly for fish safety but they can make the fishing even harder at certain times of the year, you just need to fish effectively and think differently, they are certainly still catchable. Yes a lot of fishing on there is at range over large beds of bait but they also come out of the margins, you may have seen Zamora land a 50 just yards out on the OMC video.
It will never be everyones cup of tea but the comments regarding clubbing seals, instant water and wrong-uns are miss-informed and way off the mark.
