The difference was, those guys weren't fishing overstocked puddles, chucking out 3 spods of magic juice and hauling with plastic corn as hookbait.

The fish need to have a sporting chance else what's the point and where's the skill?
I'm sure that half the fun for someone like Mr Hearn is in the chase, the planning, the watching. Finally topped off by the capture.

To be fair, watching that Nash video, I'm lead to think that it's something else that's in his magik elixir and not hormones. It's the way he comes across, imagine you've got something that's totally on the up and up that no-one is using and you get put on the spot, how would you react? I know if I was put on the spot, I'd look well sketchy especially so on a video broadcast to the wider carp fishing community. The other thing as I've mentioned in this thread and in the bait section; got to think of the 'special' people. Some of the things I've seen anglers do just blows my mind...no finkin grasshopper.

I agree, he is definitely not intending on giving anything away and if it is genuine then who can blame him? Could be anything; he said many times he is always experimenting (much like many of us) but maybe he has just found something that is extremely effective when combined with considerable skillset to begin with. Let's hope this is all it is!

Many will look at finger-pointing, speculation, and conjecture. Not many will say well done for finding something that works and works well. Many are reading into something that isn't there. This guy has found something that is golden so why should he give up his golden egg. I would stick a middle finger up to all of you and let my pics do the talking. What if? Do you think we the angling fraternity now need to be policed and our baits checked before we start fishing? Like I said, get a grip... Our waters have bigger things to be worried about than some Joe using whatever. Concern yourselves with your own angling and crack on.

I wonder if they can get hold of a dip, like at raves and what-not that turns a dye a certain colour which alerts to a dodgy substance, rigs get checked, nets dipped, no?
In all seriousness, as a poster has already mentioned earlier on in this thread, he's been offered said dodgy substance and from what he knows is more widely used, if that is the case, that is quite worrying. I have no idea what this hormone is or what it does, what I do know was that back in the 90's fish were changing sex due to high levels of hormones in the water on the Lea relief channel, now imagine if this gets widely used and pilled into baits, do you think that would be a negative or a net positive for a given body of water?
