Hi Mate its not my picture Its one I got from the net to explain how its set up I must say the Jag ones look great
I use various methods down the river depending on the bank if using a tripod always tie down the rear leg so its impossible to pull over and if using sticks used these on suitable banks

I use a large pod, and the front legs get 6" to 12" pushed into the ground

If you click on the picture and zoom in loads, on the empty left rest you can see that I have the plates facing the other way...and that the release is done using the long length of elastic

yes see what you mean looks a lovely spot and a good set up
I only ever use 2 rods on the river where I fish on the Trent the bites come in bunches and often have periods where you can only fish one rod due to double hook ups
and I always have a strap securely pegged round the back leg of a tripod though

what a rip off those jag lockdowns are ... you have to buy the inserts separately - and twice or three times to get the same size for multiple rods so if you have duplon and cork you need large and small and 4 or 6 packs of inserts at £5 per pack .. wish i hadnt bothered !

That's what I said and then you have loads of inserts not used only need one per pk I wish I hadn't bothered too never again
