Indeed like a lot of the super intelligent types any manual tasks / jobs are alien to them. They probably need help getting dressed in the morning 😀

Though looking on wiki he's done a lot of work on tropical diseases even got a load of money for malaria research from the Gates Foundation.

This is true and I commend him for his services.
The nothing role he is playing could mean he is busy in a tv studio when me or my family needed that care though. I know doctors and a few are real douche bags, those mentioned seem genuine and nobody can criticise what they have done during and prior to covid... but bloody knighthoods!?
I met cleaners when my son was born during lockdown, not the type who dust the canteen... all hours basically unprotected cleaning surgical waste and bodily fluids of varying horrors before getting a bus back to their bedsit. I am pretty sure Whitty was working long shifts at a vaccination centre? He strikes me as a better human being than many of those around him.

... and Whitty worked right through the pandemic and didn't get furlough.

If people can't see the problem with awarding titles to those less hard working than the people carrying their organisation there's no hope.
