My step dad had private care through his work. Had over 90k worth of treatment all covered. He then retired and lost all healthcare benefits. ... but has his dr private number. When his cancer returned he was seen on the NHS by the same doctor but jumped every queue and was seen by his private dr on the nhs

Another instance, my 3 month old baby had a lump, we paid private to get seen straight away. The dr took cash for the appointment then said your better of going to your main hospital,she said dont worry I'm the nhs manager for that sept. she made a phone call we went straight to the hospital, told the ward nurse we'd been sent by dr so and so. Again jumped all queues and was in and out within two hours
So wrong again but both times benefited me

The NHS is being rinsed, add to that swathes of profitable sections of the NHS run by private companies for example Virgin Health Care (Branson) where it has been running palative care for kiddies for years in Devon and Cornwall and had been creeping like a cancer into other areas of the country. What about practically non existent accountancy were money just disappears due in part as no-one is held directly accountable for the huge losses they make day in, day out. Take for example just one anecdotal tale from a mate of mine who was working in a hospital as a contractor: my pal retold a tale of a "relaxation area" where middle management would take some time off to sooth their daily stress levels and wipe their weary brows - the poor things. He told me that this "relaxation area" had a patio that got laid, ripped up over the course of time he was there 4 times simply because when the big cheese of the dept came to inspect the patio, he just turned around, swiveling on his heels and said he didn't like it and go with another type of slab, bearing in mind, it was this clown (big cheese) that decided on the slabs in the first place.
The wastage mindset I believe comes from people who have never worked in the private sector, instead they believe that there's this money tree that when shaken, like magic, money comes raining down. I was chatting to a bloke who came from the private sector (big house builder quantity surveyor) who decided to go and work for a local council as one of his mates on the council had been on his case for years to work on the council. He said he just couldn't get his head around the sheer uselessness and wastage he was seeing like no-one checking contracts and questioning the contractors about the prices they were charging like he would in the private sector as he'd have someone checking where the money was going and what it was spent on etc etc above him.

In a nutshell, it's no wonder lefties with the 'we can live like this forever' mindset and the general piss takers and those that have never worked in the private sector gravitate towards these publicly funded jobs as no-one really cares, no-one is really accountable and the s4itshow continues to infinitum and beyond. I genuinely believe that the NHS is an amazing concept and should always be run as a public service, just a shame it's run by c**ts.

It became a running joke between us. He used to phone me up on his fag breaks to tell what one they've gone for this time. Think they went with marble in the end and water fountains. Seen similar tax payer funded nonsense myself.

Never understood the whole knighthood rubbish to be honest, I mean you have people who save life's day in day out who get paid sod all (and get very little in the way of thanks) and then you have a fella who drives a race car for the top team with the fastest car who gets paid millions of pounds (and pay zero tax to the uk) who then gets knighted 🤷♂️
