Anecdotal I know: I know of a highly skilled doctor that has refused to take the vaccine.
Also, from what I understand, the NHS isn't at bursting point as were lead to believe. Apparently the NHS over the entire system is at the same capacity right now as it was this time last year.
Another thing that I gather, the field hospitals that were set-up to deal with the imminent threat of overwhelming the NHS last year have all been packed down and are not operational which makes the health ministers recent claim that these field hospitals are ready to accept patients is a lie.

I'm not saying 'I know better' but I can make my own mind up based on the information at hand . . .I'm not bothered about not fishing for a couple of months and would gladly do this BY CHOICE if I genuinely believed this and other measures imposed would make a difference . . .

problem is 2-fold at the moment. Infection rates and a struggling NHS.
Infection rates are up simply because they are testing more people, back in April they were testing about 25,000 per day, now they are testing between 250,000 and 500,000 per do, ergo, more tests more positive results. The vast majority of those will be asymptomatic and never get anywhere requiring hospital treatment.
The NHS is struggling big time but not because of the amount of beds taken up with Covid patients or ITU ventilator shortages but simply because there is not enough staff. Leading ITU surgeon said yesterday it is 1 nurse to 3 beds instead of the 1 to 1 it should be.
Another thing we constantly hear is, "well if it's that bad why aren't they using the Nightingales"......they aren't using the Nightingales simply because there isn't enough qualified staff to run them....
I also know from the horses mouth that retired Doctors & Nurses volunteering are being prevented from doing so because of red tape and that red tape is hour after hour after hour of mandatory training they have to complete beforehand on things such as diversity, equality etc......the mind boggles...
