100% agree. I've had faulty 7lb line that snapped like cotton, but never a line that explodes all crinkled like that. I can only assume I got a bad batch. Which does happen, but for the price you'd think they'd have better quality control.
I regret switching to it before my France trip, as I lost a few fish on it. It was a snaggy water, so I'll never know whether my line rubbed against a snag or just gave out.
On the plus side the daiwa SS fluoro is settling in & is less springy after a few low doubles. It's not had any real challenges or big fish yet, but here's to hoping
