Never in my angling life did I think I would ever have to come onto social media and make a post like this. It's totally out of character for me!
I'm sure over the past 36 hours a lot of you would have seen the much talked about post that has been shared about.....First and foremost I left this company because of lack of payment and communication, to which I was told “I'm selling the company so I don't know what the future holds” and with fishing being my only income, I have to consider my family and losing a proportion of my monthly income would hit me hard
Moving onto the allegations of the alleged use of “hormones” in my bait, I'm not even sure where to start as it's actually almost comical that people believe that I would do anything like this. Please remember that fishing is what pays my living, it's what puts a roof over my families head and allows me to enjoy the life I live and not in any way would I EVER do anything to jeopardise that. Lots has gone on in my life over the past few years which has allowed me to fish a lot more for myself than what I usually would have over past years, but because I don't air my personal life on social media people will just not understand. Whilst I know people have falsely accused me of using certain products I plead with anyone experimenting to stop, it has been proven that whatever products are being tried simply do not work. What people are also quick to forget is that I fish very heavily stocked venues, lakes where I have been having big hits from since I was a teenager, lakes where hundreds of people fish and places where I film most weeks and not one person; Whether that be a member of public or someone who works for the companies that sponsor me have ever seen or found me to be using anything...I'm sure that says it all? Believe it or not I do go through periods of angling that aren't as prolific as what it may seem online, I'm out with my sponsors Fox and Sticky on a regular basis doing my job, and they've seen their fair share of tough filming trips and features over the years!
Aside from this and I will make no bones about it, if there was a super duper liquid that I have do you not all think I would of targeted the “big fish” venues and caught them all? Take a step away from carp fishing... there is a lot of money in match angling and I'm sure the thought of winning £50k for a match would far outweigh the long cold nights fishing on busy waters which I enjoy so much! I didn't want to come on here and make a post like this because I am not the confrontational type, I'm just a regular guy that goes fishing and absolutely loves what he does, but one thing I will ask everyone to consider...When you don't agree with something online please just scroll past it and carry on with your day. I'm a pretty strong, thick skinned character and have taken this on the chin(s), but the next time you comment on someone's post you may just be the reason that they do something that will effect their life or even worse.
I know in this day and age I'm not going to be everyone's cup of tea, and I appreciate that people will have already formulated their opinions and I know I'm not going to change that. But please next time you comment just be mindful that their is an individual taking the brunt of your abuse.

Fairplay to the guy. I have seen his name linked with this, along with a few others. I have also watched one or two of his videos and it is clear that he has a particular fishing style which he is both very good at and he's well-suited to the type of waters that he fishes. Sometimes he just have to admit that he is a better angler rather than promote sour grapes.

Think its time for me to say my side of the story's and put a few things straight. There is always 2 sides of the story & to be honest I have nothing to lose anymore.
Tom was never owed any money by Monster Particles, he put his invoice in on June 17th for the coming month and I told him I was selling up so I don't know what the future holds and that the new owners would want to sit down with him before going forward, the sale was going through at this point. He was happy with that. I even gave him the heads up a week before letting him know the reasons why i might have to sell he was happy and even supportive. There was no communication because the sale was going through it was happening so fast within 2 weeks. The sale fell through on the 28th june simple as that. We never ****ed him over at all. He already moved on before I had chance to even say nothing is changing. The bloke has no ****ing loyalty is just money to him, which I totally understand alot would do the same, there was no bad blood him leaving as people come and go in the fishing industry, offer them more money and everything goes out the window It's just the industry. I was told at the start don't pay these celeb anglers it will just end up sour and yes your right Mark I should have listened 😉
Not many people know I nearly lost my Mrs last year, we was told she wasn't going to make it, she was in intensive care for 6 weeks, hardest 3 months of my life but she made a full recovery **** me that girl is a fighter, so strong. We had another scare very recently and I thought **** it I can't do this again and I need to put my family first so yes I approached a few asking if they wanted to take Monster on we had a few interested parties I just wanted the business sold so I could concentrate on being there for my family, lost my hero my grandad to cancer, my nans fighting cancer as we speak, my dad's beat cancer recently, my Mrs is also not very well, I just wanted a normal life for a change and I'm being attacked for that because I wanted to put my family first, I made sure all my staffs jobs was safe and everyone was looked after as I'm not that kind of guy I could easily just give up and say **** it, money doesn't inspire me to keep going which is why i would accept £1 for Monster so i can have a normal life again. I keep going because I don't want to let people down. I don't want to look like I'm moaning or hard done by iv had a ****ing **** 2 years but everyone is going through stuff everyone is fighting there own battles but I just have to clarify why I made that choice because people feel the need to comment and they apparently know what's happening behind closed doors which is not the case.
The fishing industry is evil there is so many people trying to bring you down, want to see you fail, talk behind your back and pick you up on any mistake you make, anyone would be mad to run a business in this trade as its soul destroying, they always help the under dog and when you get to a point everyone trys to bring you down. Why cant everyone just get along and just go fishing and enjoy it? bare with me it gets good below.
I actually hate going on Facebook where someone is slating monster calling me all the names under the sun, people jump on the band wagon that have never even ordered before but they just love to put there piece in. **** me we try our ****ing best the lads graft so ****ing hard and yes we have made mistakes, yes delivery times have been long but everyone who was effected was always offered compensation when we ****ed up. Most people understood and are happy. Every business has there ups and downs il be honest iv struggled with it all mentally its so draining. But I keep going and fighting I have a thick skin and brought up never to give up.

I put that statement on my own accord I wrote it, bcz I got a call from a bailiff from a very well know day ticket that they caught 2 anglers using or testing hormones and they was wearing Monster clothing he was giving me the heads up because the lake had photographed them and was going to name and shame them I put up a statement up because I wanted to get infront of it. Imagine a picture going up saying caught using hormones and Monster badge was in it. It was not aimed at Tom maker and was not posted because he joined a new company at all it was to get infront of it before more bad **** go attached to Monster bcz **** me we don't need it. Sadly after all the **** Iv received the lake will not get involved which I understand and I won't name and shame the anglers because its not fair i couldnt do that to someone I hope in the near future it does get out and it will back my story up as iv been called a liar by most. I was chatting to the bailiff on my water yesterday.
I was asking why it was so quiet and told him I was trying to side hook the fish with trebles and leadcore leaders, it also slipped out that I had abducted his 18 year old daughter and had her in my garage along with enough drugs ro take her to Mexico and back 6 times. I then explained to him that I broke into the hut last week and took all the day ticket money along with the waders and the life jacket. We finished our chat and the weirdest thing ever happened - he took my photo as he waved - then I get a message this morning that NGT want their toaster and grinder returned. FML.

I can appreciate that not all business owners will have faultless written English, but surely it's only professional to hold back profanity from every sentence? How embarrassing.
Buy cheap particle from who you want, but I certainly wouldn't want to be in any employment contract with the author of that post.
I'd say young Mr Maker is well out of it.
