Liked Joe's sentiment on this. Only supporting it financially if you were in the position to do so. Its a shame enough didnt do this. He often seemed at time embarrassed to ask for donations.But unfortunately if people can get something for nothing they will. Hope he continues with it as I really enjoyed it.

Surely he can make money through YouTube advertising?
Theres so many carp subscription services now. I subscribed to cypography for one month. The videos are great, but i dont feel like any of it is any different to videos i can watch for free elsewhere.
The carp angle idea if asking for donations is fine, but as someine who watches youtube on an xbox, you dont ever get to read the blurb for a video, so never saw a link or read anything about donating, and he never mentioned it much in the videos.

Joe's philosophy behind Carpangle was to provide ad and plug free content. So with no other means other than relying on peoples generosity to support it. He was on a hiding to nothing from the start.

Getting revenue from YouTube ads wouldnt change that though. And for all of us that have youtube premium there woild be no adverts at all.
Rather than asking for blind donations, set up a Patrion or similar. Let the people donating feel involved.

Good idea, he could open carp angle up a few days early for subscriber's or if he has time do an additional video on something for patron only.

Id possibly subscribe depending on cost as his content is about the only one out there without subliminal advertising, and he seems just a decent bloke who makes enjoyable content I've put the odd £5 over on donation as it was worth it to me especially helping me find the motivation to get out on my syndicate and turn things around.
I like his cooking videos as well.
Subscription based from now on..... Good while it lasted as a freebee.... :(

It wasn't free that's the point- it was donations based and that was made very clear.
The reason its moving to subscription is too many tight a*rses watched the content but didn't bung Joe a fiver for his efforts.
Shame people are happy to spend £12 on a kilo of sticky krill, or £500 for the latest delkims. Hey ho.

Probably uploading stuff to a free to watch platform isnt the best way to make money, although probably like some of the others will still use it to advertise their content, cant have it both ways

Yet another carp subscription service. There seems to be tonnes now. I subscribed to crypography for one month but ended up canceling it as i barely watched any, or the ones i wanted to watch were actually free on youtube. I know it's onky a couple of quid, but if you subscribed to all of them its a couple of hundred quid a year.
Im sure joe is a lovely guy, and its great to support people, but i cant just give money to everyone who asks for donations. Tbh i only made it about 25 minutes through the recent carpangle, it wasnt really for me.
Good luck to him though im sure many will subscribe.
