I really do think that the correct bobbin set up is key. First off using the right bobbin set up in the wind should sort out false beeps whatever alarm. The line angle is also just as important as the weight. That's why I use the slimlites and line clips. Get all that sorted and you have a set up that can deal with anything.

I use the ES Duocarbs with Nitelites and also the line clips, weight can be added to the bobbin when needed. Only time I get a bleep is either fish, flotsam or ****ing Crayfish. I've never understood why people insist on using loose bobbins swinging all over the place in the wind then complain about false bleeps, that's why the Fox Swingers were/are so good.

I actually use hangers and still don't get wind bleeps. I've got some custom bodies made from stainless so they have the weight but very little surface area for the wind to catch them and they work a treat

I recently bought a set of second hand txi 3 alarms and receiver. 1st session hI had the heads silent and the receiver on....tested them before getting my head down for the night. Woke up in the morning to find one of the rods had a take and my line was about 50 yards in the opposite direction and the fish had gone. Sent the receiver back and they changed the exchange circuit...
which didn't fix the issue, I had to send all 3 transmitters back and had new aerials fitted. They now work a treat. Was a pain to be honest and I don't think ill over buy 2nd hand alarms again.
