Shill harder...
Jesus, you're in some weird parallel universe.
Typical lefty idealistic cobblers, seriously. Would be great not to have to borrow from the likes of the insurance companies via the bond market by printing IOU's, yet that's how it is. I'm sure just like the loons over in the state's think that you can just print money to infinity and beyond...and not add to the national debt, however that works.
Without businessmen and entrepreneur's, everything just grinds to a halt, ala Venezuela et al, similarly, without the worker's in the current business cycle before mass automation is across the board = no workers needed, everything grinds to a halt. Essentially both business and workers are in a symbiotic relationship with one another, like it or not.
We're not a rich nation, just smoke and mirrors. We're not rich in natural resources, huge industrial plants/innovation. The last time I looked we're a service economy, our biggest exports to the world are financials and the arms industry.

We're not a very rich country, we have a very large debt facility which is ever growing whilst the government insists on devaluing the pound with QE.
The elephant in the room in all of this is why is there such a fuss over the NHS...our hospitals ran at 95% capacity before all of this. The government has asset stripped and cut funding for years, now we need it, it's not available.
Vaccinate the vulnerable if they want it, am I **** having needles pushed into me every six months that will affect me a little more than the common cold.

I don't think that people drawing parallels with Nazi Germany are off the mark, the similarities are striking, that is unless you are deliberately avoiding the blindingly obvious for ulterior motives or to score points or are just full of bias that no matter how much evidence and historical markers you're pointed towards, you'll just fold your arms and deny any similarities.
If frail and vulnerable people want to keep out of harm's way, then so be it, the rest of us should just let this nothingburger rip and be done with it.

We're still the fifth richest nation on the planet and should be far more able to weather this storm than almost any other.
I'm not sure QE is a major problem provided taxation is used properly to control inflation. What we have is a ‘small state' government who seem to have read too much Ayn Rand who are unwilling to start infrastructure projects beyond adding a conservatory to a children's ward and calling it a whole new hospital. We've sold off loads of our state-owned services to foreign states and still subsidise them.
If you are seriously concerned about our exports and economy then what of Brexit? The OBR report suggests it will be twice as bad for the economy as the pandemic.

Not scrolling that far back but please don't think I'm an anti vaxxer. I'm not I'm double jabbed but everything I've read says having covid gives you better long term protection than having the jab
T cells are a lot better than a vaccine

I've got people over so can't read all of it now but the first bit mentions running the risk of death by catching covid. That's not the case for most of us. Most of us have had or will have covid without any risk of death.
Everything I've read so far suggests having covid will give you better and longer protection than having the vaccine
I've had both so I'm double hard

If you look worldwide the most billionaires are aged between 50 and 70 years old.
These individuals spending ultimately determine the wealth of any nation.
They stop spending the wheels would really come off.
