I'll let a customer answer that for you. I am sure someone will soon.
The balanced are quite tricky for us. Our curing process adds weight after boiling which does not matter with an ultra buoyant pop up. The balanced are rolled to be just over buoyant, but then they are cured five times decreasing that buoyancy slightly.
They are by far our most popular hook bait now by a long way. We sell absolutely tonnes of them. I personally use a 13mm with a size 4 as I like them held down slightly more for big carp. The 16mm are ever so slightly more buoyant.
As far as I know you have never ordered from us. Any Carpforum member who I know has placed an order with us for the first time has been given a free tub. Order some pop ups and let me know, I'll chuck you in a free tub to try for yourself.
They are now our best selling variety of hook bait, so they must be 'alright'.
