Lots more bans rolled in over the last 24 hours.
Its great to see that the vast, vast majority of water owners/controllers have the sense to stop the use of this dangerous device.

My mate watched Ali live Facebook last night , said he ignored questions on the twig , including a cracker from someone who asked " did you see the 5 kg hanging on the arms" , he had a great opportunity to put his case , but I'm afraid his video of " the arms will snap off " and he could not do it showed the extensive testing was just mates . It must be hard for him as this was the only thing that is different on the market from OMC .

Crystal Waters just posted a video from their testing. They landed a fish, problem free they said, but interestingly one of the arms was missing when landed. So either it got snagged up and the arm snapped off, or it just fell off on its own accord.

I expect that's why he is on a blocking mission on socials because he doesn't want the critique as there is no rational arguments he can provide as an adequate defence.
However, sticking one's fingers in one's ears will not win a debate. It will simply allow it to evolve even further out of his control.

there is definitely a pattern of fisheries allowing these things, most if not all have a working relationship with ali or know him,some have tackle shops onsite selling omc products...any review of the twig from any of these can be taken with a pinch of salt

They all sound the same and have a few similar phrases. Like it being a good addition to your tackle box. Why would a fishery say that when reviewing its safety? Sounds like they got a script to stick to loosely.
I just can't wait for the twig v2 where the arms do snap off and OMC get rammed for plastic pollution, considering they play on eco credentials with paper packaging, etc.

I don't even understand what this Tragic Trig is trying to achieve:
It doesn't ‘fire' when fish are lightly hooked, as evidenced by the terrapin. No extra, finicky bites will be converted to runs.
It only fires after a certain pressure has been exerted by the lead, ie after the fish has been hooked.
It has swivels at both ends, a big ‘no no' back in the day.
It has arms which act like hooks.
You need to apply PVA before every cast.
It will definitely catch in the mesh on many occasions.
If snagged or weeded up the anchors will not break and will only widen, thus worsening the problem.
The plastic has memory, once fully splayed out they stay that way. The rig should be chucked away, but most won't!
It will reduce casting range and accuracy.
It's expensive.
The benefits are precisely zero!
