I think if he markets anything like that in the UK then he's dead in the water.

Very true, but there is a whole generation (that's he's had a good hand in creating) of the catch at all costs brigade, that will buy these in the bucket load.
I cant see how it would work, i cannot see how it would be too dissimilar to the Nash hook link that was elasticated,

The Nash Triggalink is still going, not sure how many use it. I'm sure it was a podcast with Shelley saying he swears by it but I could be wrong.
It's odd, the OMC stuff so far hasn't been awful, I've got a couple of bits and can't complain, however I do feel this is being made out to be so good it's likely to be a huge let down, the way they are going on about it you'll never miss a bite again, which takes away part of why I go imo

IMO Nash Triggalink is one of the best things Kevin ever thought up
its 100% caught me some very big fish on some hard French lakes that had never seen it I was worried it was going to be discontinued and so I bought dozen spools still used it the last time I went carping and caught too

I've heard many say the same, and also say it was likely to be discontinued. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it!) I've become confident enough in a couple of rigs now that I rarely change to something new, but I could definitely do with giving it a go at some point

Triggalink is in no way self striking, it just adds an element of elasticity to the hooklength, the fish still has to tighten up to the lead to be hooked.

If it is some sort of self-hooking device with a size 6 being catapulted anywhere around a fishes head then as many have said already it will be banned everywhere.....even Hamidi isn't stupid enough to put all the hype behind a product that wouldn't sell....
If it is a device which somehow 'snaps' like a mouse trap when disturbed, won't almost ALL carp eventually become ridiculously wary of everything on the lake bed associated with baits and rigs?
Don't most of us use self resetting rigs in case of bird life and nuisance species? This would just be a pain to have to keep reeling in and checking. A fish moving near it and wafting the hookbait potentially setting it off? Or a roach moving your hookbait. Or even liners potentially?
It all sounds like something Mark Cunnington made up?
