I don't believe that there are 4000 carp in there . I went in April a couple of years ago on one of Frank Warwick's trips . Went for a walk round when we got there and there must have been 10 dead carp in the lakes margins . When the guy that owns it was asked why he didn't take them out he said " they live in the lake they die in the lake " . Some of these carp were big old fish . Euro aqua was totally different ,Alex the owner looks after his fish , they are like his pets .I know it gets a lot of bad press but it's a great place to go for a fishing holiday , you really do get looked after , it's not to everybody's taste but each to there own .

Enjoyed watching them all, but it's not as good without AH. I don't find the scripted ‘comedy' funny either, but I guess most people like that kind of thing.

Should have called it a do when Ali left and knocked it on the head. This series has far been the worst.

I think it is still watchable, but I miss Ali. I just wish they'd stop trying to act, because they can't. It ruins the programme as it is so cringeworthy. Some needs to tell them to pack it and just be themselves, rather than trying to script something and look like prats.

Its all a load of bullocks driven by greed and money. Funny thing is we can all get out and fish for lumps, use the same gear and wear the same clothes and write better scripts every weekend.

Watched it on catch up ...it was great that they were excited about fishing this venue as they aren't many places with a potential world record in a smallish lake
like other people i just found the scripted comedy abit too much but im guessing they are trying to appeal to the masses and not just anglers and trying to bulk the programme out to an hour
but i did have to laugh when my Mrs walked in and said " why are they fishing a lake in the middle of a golf course " ?
it certainly looked well manicured and not your average wildlife haven
I think if i owned a fishery with 100lb+ carp swimming around i would not be having any snags in the water as people are using heavy gear to catch these monsters and we all know accidents can happen ....how much would a 100lb carp cost ? even if you could buy one of the shelf so to speak to replace any stock
going off topic but i think Samir + Alan have a video out today filmed on Orellana using jet ski's to get around ... so really looking forward to there take on Orellana

15 years ago fishing a lake in France with big fish in my pal was fishing the road bank when late in the evening a French guy pulled up in a van and shouted over the fence if you catch any fish over 20kg I will pay 150 euro cash money and more for bigger pickup anytime just phone me
my pal told him to do one but Im sure there would be plenty of people that would do it sadly

Exactly that. This programme is for the masses, not just the hardcore carpers. I can't see them going to some of these rock hard venues and blanking being very good for TV ratings. Take it for what it is, if you like it watch, if you don't, then don't.

I HAVE watched it and don't see what the problem is. It's made for a general audience (it has to be to get on in the first place) and is classic ITV style production similar to 'Breaking Dad' with Bradley Walsh, it is what it is, main thing is it's Carp Fishing on mainstream TV

The same way I don't buy a particular bait, use a range of hooks, or sleep under specific types of bivvies....peer reviews.
I also knew years ago I wouldn't to watch them and some orange faced TV personalities quiver tipping for Bream. It's not my bag.

The reviews in general across the whole series have actually been quite good, not sure why you wouldn't at least give it a try, what have you lost? A few hours out of your life, not exactly much in the grand scheme of things really is it??
