Yeah, it does feel a bit forced

First couple of podcasts haven't been particularly spectacular but that would be expected while he finds his feet.

Initial impressions are I miss Simon Pitt.

Simon was far more natural

The bloke sounds like he is searching for the cure of cancer when he does an interview / podcast.
