Happy to go against the grain on this one... agree they're far from ‘essentials' (and the only
Ridgemonkey item I own is a toaster) but I'll find them genuinely useful and bought three last night.
99% of my fishing is worknights, which apart from the height of summer is often a race against the fading light or packing up in the dark. I hate leaving rigs clipped in the rings as I don't often use set ups where you can change the hook quickly and I prefer not to sharpen hooks (tin hat on), am normally turning up to areas where I don't need to lead about before casting, and as far as packing down goes, they mean I can have literally everything else packed away before reeling my rods in, clipping these things on and shooting off home.
I know it'll save me a couple of minutes at most of fiddling around unclipping rigs and so on, but anything that makes the process more efficient - and means I don't have to take my gloves off on freezing winter mornings as I've got some crappy condition that means cold fingers are an absolute b*tch - is something I enjoy. Definitely not the cheapest option but it appeals and I'll find it useful.
That said, I suspect most people will buy them regardless of whether they'll make a real difference to their angling, but that's marketing and personal choice innit. The box I ticked for bigger alloys on my car doesn't make me a better driver, but I like ‘em and they make me feel like I've got a bigger willy.

Don't know what the big deal is in respect to who makes this product. Could have been Rolex and still got a similar response from me.
A bad idea is a bad idea. Yeah, maybe some can see some sort of use for this, for me, the whole box concept is daft, a sock thing with a zip which velcro's to your rod would have been a better way of going with this, not a clunky box type contraption.

But or don't buy these, I'm sure some people like them and see there purpose........similar to the JAG pod that you need to remortgage your house to purchase only for your rods to be sat on which a 15yr old Fox pod can do for penny's in comparison........

I admit, the 'box' was my first thought. Couldn't imagine 3 of those of my rods in a quiver, it's bulky enough already with the reel covers etc..on.

There's the thing though. You mention reel covers. If there was ever an needless unnessisary contraption to me, it would be using a quiver with reel covers. If someone invented that set up today everyone would be laughing at it. But for you, that works for what you need.
I see value in this product. I've not seen a better option posted by a single person in this thread for a quicker and better way to turn up ti a lake with a hinge stiff rig ready to go.

The reel covers actually made it less bulky than having the 3/4 length sleeves on it. (I have an old original Aqua 4 rod quiver with sleeves etc..) Now the hood for that was/is pointless as you couldn't fit the hood over the 3/4 length sleeves without 'possibly' damaging the rods.
Plus the older sleeves don't accommodate rods ringed with 50" eyes without a struggle (another pointless product for some, 50" eyes
)

If this product was made out of neoprene or any other softer material then I think it would get more of a positive response. Unfortunately, for some this product was always going to get knocked just because who has released it.

At least it's something new, and plenty of people will find it useful. There won't ever be an item that everyone wants or needs.
Not sure if I'll buy any but they would be handy for me, the main reasons being I have OCD and have to put everything away properly, so the lead pouch stays out, the tackle box stays out etc until I've brought the rods in. And I don't want leads banded to the rods.
NGT will probably have a version out in a few months for a tenner a pop, same as they ripped off the Guru rig box etc. Cost ain't exactly an issue in Carp fishing though is it, when people have £3k of rods and reels on their £500 pod, whilst sitting on a £400 bedchair inside a £1000 tent - with a cup of tea resting on a £60 bivvy table.

Girls in my office bought me one of those pumps for my birthday, i thanked them very much and put it with my gear i use abroad.
Best thing i have ever used for getting water out of a boat.
Even gets the water from below inflatable decks if you angle the boat slightly 👍
