Just shows we are all different with different tastes - which makes the world a more interesting place
Personally I would not wear camo either In public or when fishing, bit like rod pods - don't like either
Others might not like my choice of clothing whether fishing or not but that's the way it is, I'd rather not look like a carp angler if I can help it but that's my choice.

You said you wear cammo on a ferry, why not leave it at that?
I don't like doing that so we have differing views, that's cool, I don't think that makes me sad or laughable though.
I spent 22 years dressed in cammo in the Army. Once out I felt no great urge to wear it anymore. I have one item and that is my DPM Goretex waterproof jacket. When it gives up the ghost I'll replace it with a green one. I never wear it off the bank. My ferry clothes are trainers, jeans, black Polo shirt and a snugpack lightweight zipper jacket in green. I don't find taking off a pair of jeans and jacket on arrival at the lake a great chore, and I don't find wearing a pair of jeans particularly ‘dressing up' for a ferry trip. On the journey both to and from the lake we drop in various pubs either to pick up people or for a drink and I prefer to be in ‘civvies' in these establishments as well as ferries.
Even if I did wear cammo I would still take a set and take them off on arrival as I don't really want to sit on a ferry or in a pub in 7 day old fezzing clothes covered in fish slime on the return trip. Just me. As I said we have differing viewpoints, no problems for me.
Out of interest my fishing clothes are as follows:
Hot weather - green or brown shorts, black polo shirt, dark coloured trainers, black or green hoody as it cools down in the evening.
Temperate/cool - German army green moleskin trousers ( incredibly hard wearing and soft and comfy) black polo shirt, black or green hoody. Add Snugpack green shirt/jacket as required. Same trainers or Matterhorn boots as required.
Winter. German army moleskin trousers, green Norwegian artic shirt, greenNorwegian army artic woolly Pully, green Trakker or Hally Hanson puffer jacket. Aqua green salopettes and thermal wellies or Matterhorn boots as required.
Summer
Yes, you can see me but it would be the same cammo'd up. As per military training what gets you seen is shape, shine, silhouette, spacing and movement. For fishing add noise.
Another thing that I do wonder about is that someone dressed head to foot in cammo pays no attention to their face and hands. Shape, shine, silhouette, spacing and movement. 👍

Hi Cam,
Tried a couple of times. It's sized as 500 but for some reason postimage keeps loading it as a .png formatt rather than .jpg.

When the one I blagged when I was in Norway eventually fell apart I found a surplus store in USA had some so bought two.

Got an Austrian mountain troop Dachstien Pully as well - even rarer. Civvy versions go for hundreds
. Need to reduce the COVID gut a bit for it to be comfy though

you know very well there is always tossers gobbing off about people wearing camo either to fishing shows or ferrys and I always think what sad people they are ?
that cant just get on with their life and not worry about what other people choose to wear

I never stop on the way unless its a quick pee I hate stopping it makes me tired my drinks and food are in the car
I just want to get to the lake as fast as possible and get the rods out after all its costing a lot of money and I want the max time on the bank not in a pub but we are all different some like you have a more chilled approach and treat it like a holiday which is great but not for me its a mission lol
