No one will trace phones lol.
They will not spend the time and money tracking anything.
At the absolute most a phone call will be made and you just tell them you're at home.

They can't even do that if they have been given a duff number!

What Boo says.
Leaving phones at home, giving duff numbers, flying back to France and devising all sorts of schemes and tactics is just breaking the rules, yes the probability of you getting caught is remote but I'd rather sleep at night knowing that the remote possibility of getting caught doesn't exist.
Once it gets around that carp anglers are flouting the rules then expect to be pulled over for inspection at the ports

I suppose the next thought process is how can I travel to and from France without looking like an angler?

What good will an inspection at the port do though buddy? Not gonna happen.

I agree with you, the guidelines should be followed. But our government can't keep track of themselves, let alone the population.

How did I break the rules? I spent 4 days in UK which is allowed. You quarentine for the time you are there, be it 1 day or 14 days.

You say that but when a van load of anglers turn up at Calais they know there's a very good chance they won't self isolate and they know it's going to be difficult to enforce it so maybe inconveniencing the odd van will send out a message.
Look out for a thread on here......... I was picked upon at Calais

I've not seen in stated that it is only for the duration of your stay, only seen it stated 14 days

Edit I take it back, just found it, makes it all pointless when you read all this rubbish. Still allowed to use public transport and still allowed in and out which mens more interactions with others lol. No wonder it's a mess here

This is because it can take up to 14 days for coronavirus symptoms to appear. If you're travelling to the UK for less than 14 days, you will be expected to self-isolate for the length of your stay

You will notice the paragraph that states:

If you're travelling to the UK for less than 14 days, you will be expected to self-isolate for the length of your stay.

That seems a bizarre rule 😂😂

So if you were visiting the UK for less than 14 days you would be expected to arrive, quarantine for your entire stay, then fly back? Why would people want to do that?

Bizarre situation isn“t it? If the UK Government are that worried about a 2nd spike being contributed to by travellers to the UK, everybody coming into the UK including you Symon should have to remain in the UK for 14 days whether you planned to stay for a new days or not. I think the Slogan come here and maybe spread the virus and f--k off home would seem appropriate! We will sort out the mess afterwards!
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.
