The best thing about the whole'Mark-Not Mark' thing is he posts on here for the first time in 12 years under another name and secret-agent spots him straight away, very apt
Probably wouldn't remember after 12 years! As Sir B said below, there was a private forum a few years ago that a few of us were members of, sadly closed now. Paulie J let slip quite early on here who he was. People find it hard to hide the way they post. There is a banned member with a distinct style posting regularly on here as well, surprised he hasn't been rumbled yet???

Dont know if the thread is too far off track now but I bought a Highlander Tempest based on the earlier posts and it came yesterday, looks great but seems a bit short in the body, long enough in the arms though. Will send it back for a larger size

Same here, they seem to be cut more to ‘proper' size than the army ones and definitely shorter in the body. I got a Medium which fitted me fine if I didn't put anything bulky underneath it. I tried it over my SJ9 and immediately noticed it was also a bit short in the arms and too tight, sent it back and exchanged it for a Large, see what that's like when it turns up, looked like very good quality though

I bought medium as well. To be fair as an everyday jacket it was probably fine but like you, my.movement was restricted when I put it over my Sleeka. I will swap for a large

Thank you. TCP was nothing to do with me though. I think I know who that was though. TCarper was the first time I ventured onto the internet. I was a late starter (2005 or 6 I think), and was always to busy as a plasterer before that. I had an enforced year at home. Hence TCarper was born. No internet for me before then, and TCP was about long before that. Just two letters the same... And we both fished Sutton at different times. Not me though

Thanks mate. The name Mark Casper actually came about because of something in that last post in fact. The bait firm I was using back then wanted some exposure. I'd just caught a lot from Sutton in double quick time. So that was deemed perfect by them. I was asked if they could put the photos in Carp-Talk. I'd never done that sort of thing really, so said he could, but he had to use a different name. My dogs name was picked, as random as you like. Fast forwards to the RMC forum and TCarper. As soon as a photo was seen of me, I was Mark Casper. I never said it to anyone, but everyone assumed obviously that it was my real name. I was winning a lot of money online at the same time, and having accounts shut left right and centre. So Mark Casper stuck. I've been on the front cover of Carpworld, and in Subsurface as Mark Casper. People (anglers) call me Casper all the time. It was my dogs name, my then eight year old son picked it, as he loved the film Casper the friendly ghost. I loved the dog more than anything, hated the name when he picked it. How bloody ironic!
Imagine walking around a supermarket with a woman, who only knows you by your real name ovbiously. When a carper recognises you from where or whatever, and actually spits out the name "Mark Casper". What happens is, said woman is convinced that you are in fact, a massive liar, and leading a double life where you're married to someone else. It's not good anyway. You have to start showing them carp magazines with you in under that name, and explaining things double quickly.
