you're relying on 'common sense' as being a trait that the great british public has in abundance when clearly that's not the case.
as said already - if people are going to go bloody crazy for kfc then saying they can go fishing is going to be a nightmare. far more important things to put right before we go fishing again

You're missing the point.
All fishing venues, (apart from matches, onsite restaurants, cafes etc. which will be banned according to the angling trust proposals to the government, which you no doubt have no idea about ) can obviously be made alot more safer than a super market.

people NEED to buy food so the risk at supermarkets is being managed with distancing rules in place

You obviously haven't done much shopping. The risk is far greater.
Many more people.
People do need to go out and do things.
As long as it's safe.
And fishing would be safer than going shopping.

I agree with you, fishing and golf are a much easier way to keep yourself isolated than at a supermarket or on a building site. Difference is people need to eat and to pay for their shopping, I don't really see how we can compare the two?
I couldn't give a monkeys if people are fishing right now, doesn't hurt me or my family.
My point is simply that fisheries will be heaving, as will clubs and syndicates who's membership nearly always outnumbers the available swims. This will lead to hogging of swims between mates and socials.
So as usual the piss takers will prosper.
Been walking with my lad round some local woodland, every single day there's families in the chained up adventure playground... because they're selfish ****s that think they're more important or entitled than somebody else. Obviously they're not harming anybody because nobody is in there with them, but that's not the point; they are taking advantage, same as the ****s who try jumping the 40 minute queue at the local supermarket that everyone seems too afraid to explain the rules to.
So yes let's get back to normal, not have a jolly up

Yes , we need our food and it's an essential.
But liberation and being able to go out and doing things is important, as long as it's safe.

should just let clubs and syndicates open.club I am a member of has always made any member text first, with their name, club number and date they want to fish. (they are not open at mo) so lets say club/syndie lake has 16 swims, only let 8 on at any time and for 1 day 1 night and only let certain 8 swims be used..all gates and locks must be opened/closed with member using gloves. bit of a pavlova but least 8 members get a day and nights fishing then another 8 book on..(I use the number 8 just as an example)
