Agree, a deserved man of the match, everything for you revolved around him, great effort and well deserved

DeGea came close, not what you want for a keeper

Aside to that game, Chelski are due some form or they may fold?

City unstoppable, what's changed, certainly has them playing again without major signings?

My mates brother coaches the juniors at newcastle and he said its all down to howes involvement at the training ground. He said bruce used to just turn up and give them a ball and let them get on with it without any involvement where as howes in totally involved and joins in with all the training sessions and he seems to of instilled confidence back in a lot of the players, joe linton being a prime example.

I'd hardly call 100million on grealish no major signings...

They were streets ahead last year too.

The truth is that on our day, Liverpool's best 11 can beat anyone. However, City have a second 11 (goalkeeper excepted maybe) that could probably challenge for the league.

I'd say Chelsea too have a fantastic squad

The fact that Liverpool and Chelsea have both bettered City over the past 2 seasons (league and champions league) is down to excellence from klopp and tuchel with teams absolutely bought into their philosophy and also being very talented players.

I don't think it would matter if Grealish played or not Mal myself?

Aguero was the best striker in the league ever for me and they just keep going...

As for Chelski, I think they are rubbish, lot of motivation going on there. Dare I say it, worst strike force in the top half of the table for me, that's where he has got it wrong

I agree about aguero - best out and out striker

At Chelsea I like pulisic but he seems to be made out of glass... and kante is a cut above. Would love a player like him at anfield

Whatever team you support happy new year.,
We've got the Wallets tomorrow, can't see us getting a good result. A draw will be a good result.
We shall see.

********. It was pretty much inevitable that it would pan out like that.
Still I'm proud of my team.

I have no love for either North London team, but i think you were hard done by there. The foul on Odegaard in the first half was clearly a penalty, and Rodri commited 2 fouls that would of seen him off from other refs.

No consistency from English refs or VAR. Doesn't make sense, but it is why there is a lack of English Refs on the world cup / Euro scene. The standards are appaling.

Have to agree about the refereeing / var standards

City had 2 shots on target...

They're a machine.

Played very well and deserved the win. Maranelli is it? Missed far too many chances

3 more key players out for us today, plus the manager...

Was already going to be a tough game

Let's hope salah and mane are a bit more themselves or we don't have much chance

Edit a great game for neutrals and for man City
Couple of outstanding goals.
Well played both sides going for the win
