Southgate might deserve praise during the tournament, but he got it MASSIVELY wrong tonight. You DO NOT sit back and invite pressure from Italy, end of conversation.
Ssecond half looked like The dog and duck fat ******* 11 vs Man City, there was only going to be one winner.
Shame, never going to get a better chance, but Italy were FAR too good, esp with Southgate messing up the tactics.

Italy have been the best team throughout the tournament. They put out Belgium and Spain who would both have probably beaten England if we're honest.
I have to say that England and Southgate deserve some credit for doing what they've done. I'd have liked to have seen more of grealish but who knows what's seen in training?

I clawed back my losses when England let me down and won the semis.
You can't put a bloke in charge who's legacy as a player is missing a penalty in the same competition and expect to win. If the coach is a loser it's odds on he will produce more ****
