Looked very good. Pleased for Henderson getting his goal too.
The 4-2-3-1 system works really well with this squad. It means we can get 3 creative players in behind kane. Makes a massive difference because he doesn't have to keep coming deep. Rice and Phillips work really well shielding the defence. Shaw is like he was when United first bought him.
Walker and sancho on the right is a bit of a worry defensively - Ukraine had a lot of joy down that side.
Overall though, really good.
I'm still hoping that Jordan Pickford gets caught in the baggage carousel at Rome airport and sent to Colombia where some drug cartel use him for target practice.
Obviously

The whole team did look good. From an attacking perspective we let a lot of chances go, I believe we can be and get much better!
Though we looked lost up front after Rashford, Bellingham and CL came on but I guess it was to give key players a rest plus the cards etc. and them a run
Rice and Phillips, great partnership those two, as is Stone and McGuire who are shaping up too. Kane played well up front, 70% of the time leading as I would like to see, target man
I also get the feeling that if Sanchez and Sterling we're to run at defenders more they would absolutely terrorise them!!! Goals, free kicks and penalties, electric pace
And that's without Grealish and Foden!

There's Denmark. ...
Italy looking really good. If you think about the record they are setting that beats some of the Italian teams of the past its quite an achievement

I think Denmark is the biggest test for us, athletic and a physical side
The Wops will be wheeling Chiallini out in a ****ing wheelchair before long

With all your so called world class players Denmark should be easy .It could be written in the stars for Denmark ? England have one massive problem pickford , he is bound to make a howler that could cost them.

I can't stand pickford just something about him, however isn't it something like 7 clean sheets in the last 7 games? Can't knock that really...

Agree, very good keeper
Part and parcel of the role, a **** up is always around the corner, who is better at the moment?
He has kept us in it so far with some great saves, remember?

Nah. He's a *****.
He's not even the best keeper at goodison. ...
Has he had a decent shot to save?
I hope his face falls off and the only replacement he can get is a copy of piers Morgan so that everyone can dislike him as much as I do...

Walker is more of a worry. Leaves a big gap behind him when he fannies about. That needs tightening up or we'll get caught out.
Danes are a good test. Technicaly and physicaly similar. If we get cocky they'll do us, carry on improving and we'll win.

Who we going for tonight then?
My money's been on Italy from game one and I can't see anything from Spain to change that. Great in possession but too many chances missed.
Should be a good match if they both play to their best.
