Angling facing greater challenges than cancer patients? I'm not sure those receiving macmillan care would see it that way...
My own - indirect experience of them (macmillan) is very positive and as a result of the way they looked after a very good friend of mine, I also now donate monthly.
As for some - not all - charity CEO's being less scrupulous, of course it leaves a nasty taste. However some money getting through is better than none at all. As previously posted by nicksmith (no relation) , we're in a position where we need charities to pick up the huge shortfall from lack of government / state investment and support.

I think a lot of the donations are wasted and not directed where they should be.
My Mrs used to be cabin crew for BA for 20+ years.
She said there were always charity employees (high up obviously) flying first class.
They are not buying those tickets from their own funds.
Not very charitable of them.
