Older type reverse taper. A CB net is one of those things, you purchase for life. This one is over a decade old, it has had two new nets, and it will undoubtedly last another couple of decades at least. Bombproof... Quality nets.

I sat there shaking my head at him... He knew exactly what I was thinking the poor fella.

Reviving an old thread but have just taken delivery of a CB 42 inch carbon net (second hand) and am mightily impressed with it.
Feels light in the hand and super rigid - I have previously commented that they look a bit 'cheap and nasty' in pictures, however I think it looks pretty good in the flesh too - not really 'trendy' but looks like a nice bit of artisan work and a little 'less green' than I expected.
Does anyone know if the blocks /arms are interchangeable amongst sizes (I assume they are)? as wouldn't mind picking up a pair of 32inch arms to use on the net for runs waters and/or barbel.

Ive got 36” and 42” inch arms for mine so block is universal. Email Chris he is very helpful. It was £75 for the 42” arms and mesh.

The wire is crimped, I've never had to adjust mine, also mesh replaced at different times with tackle box 42” net

As a side note I'm using the FreeSpirit shallow mesh on mine - whilst I can't offer any meaningful comparison to other meshes it is a nice mesh; seems well made, easy to move in the water and very soft to the touch.
