You've probably sussed it but if the light setting you want is on for at least 3 seconds it will return to that the next time you turn it on. Turn it off before that 3 seconds has passed and it goes back to the start of the settings.
This goes for the both the white and coloured side.
I like this headtorch (Sunblesa) - especially the dim white setting.

Also has motion sensor on/off
I have a couple of headtorches with that feature. Sometimes its great but when it starts going on or off unexpectedly because you moved your head or got too close to your bivvy door say - well it didn't take long to get cheesed off with it.
Nice idea but ...... (in my opinion).

Thanks for this thread guys. Never been too interested in headtorches. Use light as little as possible. Hate being blinded by other anglers.
But as I've got older and wearing specs that mist up
The old petzls aren't cutting it.
See other anglers lighting up the treeline .and casting at.night
So fancied something that could do that and turn night into day when playing a fish.
I got the nitecore last week and very impressed. Much smaller and lighter than I imagined. And surpasses anything that I need.
Like it's easy range of power selection starting low too.
One of my old one still in use has flash as the first one. Idiots!

Except when the battery has run down it doesnt fade, it just goes off... a bit of a faff if your away from your spare torch.

Curious to where you might need a torch to land a fish at night ?
Never really found the need Maybe it's the venues I've fished
Baiting up rig tying etc cooking for sure

With the glasses on. Which always steam up when u first put them on. Either in the winter or with the damp in the air
I've found a week torch is crap, it's just shining into me bins.
I like to be able to see the line etc. Basically my night vision is crap now.

yes I love my Nitecore NU25 best headtorch I have ever owned its everything I would ever need in a headtorch
but funny thing is I was always against rechargeable headtorches worried that it would run out
and so thinking one that took AAA batteries would be better as I could never be stuck
but the reality is I can use it for a long weekend and its never run out and as you dont use it during the day I can bung it in the car and charge it up via the fag lighter in the day or if the cars to far away charge it with my phones power pack so im never going to be stuck

Charges my phone and ipad loads of times. Wife has a little cylinder one for her phone. So charging it will never be an issue.
Turbo beam is mental .
Rechargeable lithium batteries are becoming quite common in this house . Have a massive 500 quid one for the ebike. Which has a USB out. Bit heavy for fishing. So I bought a small 30000mh one. Charges my phone and ipad loads of times. Wife has a little cylinder one for her phone. So charging it will never be an issue.

I have LED LENSER SE07r , had it for ages never let me down and bought a spare battery which i keep charged up in tackle box. its light and very bright
