There's quite a good piece on their Facebook page outlining everything, it even clarifies some of the crap that's been written on here.
I can't really see the point of knocking a man or a company when they're quite obviously going through such an extremely difficult time no matter what you think of them. The only word that comes to mind is "Sick"

I would have thought it would have been there all along, with infected carp entering the water at some stage, acting as carriers. Conditions, close contact (probably at spawning) and the state of a given fishes immune system probably resulting in an outbreak. Certainly not the first lake in France to have such issues spring up unexpectedly.
Unfortunately it could be a long hard battle going forward to replenish the stock. Most survivors building immunity but becoming carriers.

i agree mate .. the older generation resent the fact that their instructional video content shows younger people how to go out and catch carp! so used to sharing no information about baits, rigs, swims etc with anyone

Just seen this...What awful news. I never fished there, but I was impressed by the very professional manner the Korda team on there went about their work. It is tragic what has happened to those carp, and my heart bleeds for them.

From what I've seen Danny absolutely loves gigantica. I can only imagine how gutted he is at the moment. Also from what I've seen of him. He is not a liar. I take what he is saying about this as the truth. Simon Scott has been on the case and he isn't a liar either.
