Ihear you - but to be fair the weather has been sh*te anyway, most of the lakes round me have been flooded out

Looking on Google news yesterday and seen 2 anglers got caught night fishing and received heavy fines, to many people rule breaking will only result in fishing being locked down, be satisfied fishing days, its better than sitting in the house

Don't understand some people are they really that desperate to night fish, they get caught they deserve everything that's coming the problem is as said the minority will spoil it for the majority.

On another note I went for the day Saturday first time since the start of this lockdown, fish were active but nothing to show for my efforts absolutely froze come the afternoon/ early evening the only bonus was my feet stayed warm nearly all day they're normally froze within an hour I tried out my Sabre neoprene wellies off the wife for Christmas they were bob on nice bit of grip on the slopping banks felt sure footed enough then back home for a home cooked stew by 6pm.

it just does my head in people whining about going bloody night fishing for the sake of whining ...

if we all do as advised, then surely we will have a better chance of night fishing when spring/summer comes.

I fail to understand how the current rules are hard to understand. No night fishing, simple. Just like no golf, no pubs, no shops, no visiting elderly relatives in care, no visiting hospitals, no travel unless necessary etc etc. Night fishing pales in to insignificance right now and those banging on about it need to realise how blinkered and selfish some of their comments are.

One thing this pandemic has highlighted in just how stupid a worryingly large percentage of our population really are. Social media is toxic right now, I cant even pop in to FB for 5 minutes without seeing something that drives me insane!

Thing is that its not just the morons that go fishing, the media are the worst culprits of it all.... Spent the whole of xmas stating that the government were not doing enough and that the country should be on lockdown, now that we are in lockdown all that they are doing is speculating when lockdown will end and every 5pm briefing wasting the questions to ask when will they see it ending. Lets just let them use the facts and figures to understand when we can start to ease restrictions and then will see what the prioritys are rather than can i go play tennis again or night fish. I would love to have been able to keep doing my 1 night a week between work as at the moment I cant disapeer off for a day session at the weekend as my wife has been schooling the kids all week and needs a hand, but i cant so just get on with it and wait for the warmer days
