I knew they have bluetooth Steve but I didn't know they connected to a phone, my hearing aids connect via B T so I can hear anything in my aids from the phone but nobody else can, that's what I meant, just me to hear the alarms.

The adverts and reviews barely mention it Jim, but both the K9 and S9 alarms will connect to your phone easily. You can adjust tone, sensitivity etc through that way. I used my headphones through my phone on one session, in the way you are suggesting, and it worked fine but I prefer using the vibration setting on the phone and receiver. I had the S9 set as an Xmas treat, I haven't succeeded in getting a bite with it yet but I imagine it works as well as my K9 alarms

Would be brilliant,my hearing aid has Bluetooth (bone anchor H-A) I wonder could a Bluetooth transmitter be retro fitted to a buzzer so it can connect to a hearing aid that Bluetooth connectivity? 🤔

Just remembered Des, I have an accessory which they call a Mic, it has a 3.5 jack socket so it can be connected to the TV or any other source of audio, it transmits the sound to my aids, if you are only using 1 alarm I can see this may work, BUT if you are using more you may need a 2 or 3 into 1 lead as you can only connect to 1 thing at a time, I will give it a try at some point and post the results.
Just tried my theory out on the Fox NTX alarms, plugged the 3.5 jack plug into the NTX
and the other end into the"mic" turned everything on, instead of getting a bleep it was a clicking sound
Oh well back to the drawing board

I had a look at these at the northern angling show,very very technical,the weight of the line is measured,the heads that are cast out near your hook link transmits movement to the alarm head..he wouldnt commit to price but says he is using this set up.

There's no way you'd see me carrying all that around but I am still interested in the alarm/receiver. There's no info on pricing anywhere though.

yep,the 4 hooklinks on the left of the picture have sensors on them,the big black transducer type thing next to the hook links gets thrown in the margins,this receives the signals from the sensors on the hook links,he did say how much movement is required to register on the alarm head but I cant remember tbh.
