And another performance from Rashford that for me get him dropped from the Euro Squad.
well done Villarreal a boring game but happy for a "United" team rather than a team of underachieving superstars at United glad they have made club history.

The only real superstar for me st united is Cavani. And he once again stood out.
Agree about Villarreal being a better team - and Emery's tactics worked. Albeit being partly to blame for a very rubbish game to watch

The game was one sided and UTD absolutely dominated the game, especially the second half. Extra time they let them back in it, should have finished them off
Great team performance. Stick to what I have said all season, aint no Rashford fan, another Welbeck for me
If Cavani goes they need that main striker figure and build around that. Rashford is not that man and they are doing exactly the same as they did with Welbeck, pushed him out onto the wing
The other good news is that it might seal DeGa's future, back to Spain, not the player he was by a long way, the penalties proved that, he would have saved 3 or 4 of those a few years ago. Not to mention the **** penalty. I saw his face when he was taking and thought, this is a miss. mind you, said the same with James and it was a cracker!

2 shots on target. I know from painful experience this season that dominating possession isn't dominating the game. Villareal were happy for utd to have the ball because it was going nowhere. Emery's tactics worked. Pretty even on shots. Villareal had twice as many corners. All stats but they tell the tale.
And you can't be relying on your goalkeeper to score the winning goal for you.

They will be a force next season if they get kane , what gollom has done with those players is nothing short of astonishing ! Shaw was a pub team player ! Remember like old red nose he was one game away from the dole queue
