I predict there will be no mass rioting if there's some form of lockdown, sporadic happenings here and there with people getting uppity maybe, rioting, not so much. Far too many people have installed the download which has corrupted their system bios.
I'm hopeful that this new version of Covid will be the one that is the beginning of the end of this virus and we can all get back to just living again. Something that was encouraging today was something that Sunnak (sp) said about not having to take the SAGE lots advice verbatim. Reading very much between the lines, other than the obvious smokescreen that this Plan B is, I don't think the higher ups are that concerned with this new variant given the lack of deaths etc.
As for Boris, he's on his way out, I'd be hoping that possibly Rees Mogg gets the job of No:10.

I could be totally wrong in my assumptions of Mogg, I think he's a man logic and reason and not easily swayed like Johnson is. Johnson bends with a gentle breeze, I don't think Mogg is that sort of character, he also seems a traditionalist and wants to conserve which I think is something seriously lacking in the conservative party of today, I mean, what exactly are the conservatives actually conserving other than cronyism, nepatism and the continuation of the status quo?

The only things I don't like about Mogg are his voting record, his political views being driven by his religion, the fact he is a millionaire who avoids paying tax and that he looks like a haunted pencil.

Wayne, everyone is getting Covid, it has nothing to do with people being boosted, or your 'speculation'.
My brother in law was tested positive for the virus on Sat... He is incredibly ill at home. His vaccine booster was meant to be today.

My doctor said I had a bad cold Jon as I wasn't displaying Covid symptoms at first (9 days) and I only went out to Waitrose although I kept my distance from people so probably not......
Had I been wearing a paper mask and sneezed then I would have probably sent particles into the air anyway wouldn't I.......

I'd agree with that Mark, I currently know 6 people who have it, three who are ill (flu like symptoms and nothing too horrendous-touch wood) and three who have tested positive and no symptoms whatsoever.
Hopefully this new variant is one of the mutation out of the pandemic.

Data coming in suggests the new variant has a fatality rate lesser than seasonal flu..
If this variant is the beginning of the end to the madness, I think there will be a lot of people with obsessive covid pandemic withdrawal... perhaps just one more booster please, another variant please.
