Perhaps a delkim brolly that clips to your rod to protect the alarm

I reckon the issues must somehow be related to the battery cover. I've never had any issues with mine in years, but I've had the screw on backs fitted pretty much since I've owned them.

I'd be amazed if delkim haven't sorted this issue. It's not like they aren't aware of it. The looks of the new ones have grown on me but instead of adding loads of additional stuff. I'd have preferred just a simple version but with digital inners.

In all honesty apart from sensitivity how many of the functions would you actually use once the novelty has worn off.

But the new ones have screw in battery covers as standard so it can't be same issue as before?

Has anyone looked at the casing joint at the aerial area on the receiver?

That's assuming it was the battery cover that was the problem with the old ones. I have to say I always kept a close eye on the covers and still had problems.

Nash will make something along that line to go with the grassy cat walk they do

It's scary Nash actually make more reliable bite alarms than a company that ONLY make bite alarms

I have contacted delkim and have sent the dodgy alarm back to them this afternoon via recorded, signed for.
They are exchanging the alarm.
Cost me £7.40 due to the higher postal insurance. Won't see that back though.

Is it not the shops responsibility to sort these things out?

This was my conversation on messenger with them:

'Hi Delkim,
One of my brand new Delkim txi-d's has gone nuts after a heavy downpour. This is exactly the same issue that I had with my original txi's, but only after many years of use. The question is, do I deal with you direct or The Tackle Box in Dartford, where I purchased them. This was my 1st overnighter with them and I am not impressed.
Regards,
Jason Salter

Sorry you have had a problem. As stocks are limited I would suggest returning directly to us and we will exchange it for you.

OK I'll send it out today.'
