Just to put you straight and anyone reading your post the banking crisis was world wide and nothing to do with the government of the UK. The bank bail out money , over 500 billion has been fully paid back.
There are now checks and rules in place that weren't there in 07 so it's not possible for the same thing to happen.

It inadvertently brought about the lowest interest rates that every single member of this forum had never seen before, the lowest cost of borrowing for generations for the last 15 years, I bet you Leftys weren't complaining about that when the cost of your mortgage fell or you bought that new car on cheap finance.
Funny how it was a Left Wing Labour government in power 10 years prior to the crisis, funny how in all those years they did nothing with the banking rules and regs.
Funny how the Labour government were the ones to bail the banks out.
