Fantastic reels.
I purchased 3 and they came with wooden handles and rubber handles.
Awesome reels.. really enjoy using them. Line lay is great.

Just a quick question, how do the handles on the reel fold in? Iv'e seen different photos with the conventional 5000t one-touch like handle and then others that just look standard handles. Was going to order from Angling Direct, just something i need cleared up. Cheers

The ones that I have look like the standard handle but the collar slides back allowing the handle to fold, difficult to explain until you have one in your hands. Not quite as convenient as the Daiwa ones but does the job.

Got 3 of the 7000 ltd liveliners and although not used yet they look and feel beautiful.
Came with both handles and some shim thingies in the box

I get there LTD ref the Black but for that to hold water they need to release the Pink version pretty soon

It's all I use now , faultless and no gripes so far.
Put the others back in the boxes as I can't see me using them soon.

In a word yes BUT with shimano reels dropping all the prices i would look at one of their models depending on budget

Having used both I completely agree with this. Now that Shimano prices have fallen 30 - 40% from their peak the Penns (and other similar models from Mitchell. ESP etc.) look less appealing than they used to.
