Does it really matter how u measure or what you call it? As long as you are consistant with what you do then who cares? Unless you are sharing info with others ie spots etc..... then they need to ensure they are doing the same method of measuring or you tell them your method. If people want to refer to their measurement in wraps, lengths, metres or lamposts.... who really cares?

That's not strictly speaking legal.
The first measurement to be shown should be the metric measurement, and the imperial measurement may not stand out more than metric.

Hence why I try to stick to metres. I know metres, my step is roughly a metre, my conversion from sticks to distance I convert in my head to metres.

If all you've got going on in your life is being an argumentative pedant on a fishing forum, then it would appear so.
The general consensus from the rest of us is that accuracy matters. How you achieve the accuracy is personal preference.

Its a discussion forum, I am in no way trying to start an arguement, just stating my point of view. No need for a personal attack is there? Youve absolutely no idea.

Is it now not legal to measure in feet and yards first??
I for one don't care i measure in wraps and yards for the simple reason it is easy and accurate the rods i use are 12ft which equates to 4 yards its very easy to be consistent and accurate using that method. The other good thing that makes it easy is half a wrap is 2 yards a quarter of a wrap is 1 yard it really does make life easy.
As a side note what do you measure your rods in ft for length and lbs test curve, going by your logic you need to complicate things and tell all the rod makers they should now use metric measurements only and not what has been an industry standard for many years
