I get what your saying, the JRC Contact barrow overall £ for £ was in my opinion a better barrow design especially for myself and securing it down in my car when loaded.

I know there will be some resistance pushing against a motor, I asked because I've seen some people have to disengage a clutch on the motor/wheel I think this was a PP barrow.

Can I ask why you preferred the BCUK kit over the GAP? I like the idea of a small compact lipo battery to be honest although I don't like the thought of storing and charging a lipo.

It caused some controversy on here with another member but I had both side by side on my syndicate by both members, the barrow conversion electric components were a much better quality, I'm not saying the Global is not a good kit, in my option its not as good as the barrow conversion, so much so that id rather wait 12 weeks than 2 weeks for one to arrive.

What's your concerns with storing and charging lipo's

I've seen some barrows that you have to disengage the motor to freewheel but cant think of what barrow it is.

Ok thanks, overall I initially felt the BCUK looked more professional as a whole, In fact it's thanks to them I even considered a power barrow.

Just I know you have to charge them in a lipo bag and if not used for a while they have to be put into a storage state etc. Just see bad press of house fires caused by lipo's.

So things got a little messy regarding the barrow!
The company I purchased it from said I could return it no problem and they would arrange a courier to collect once I'd packed it back up.
I packed it up straight away and notified them it was ready but they didn't get back to me, so I contacted again and they advised me a courier would be out to collect it this was 3 days after I'd told them it was ready!
No courier arrived on the Friday so I contacted them again on the Saturday morning they advised me they would rearrange collection for the Monday, again no courier turned up!
Been as I was getting close to the 28 day return date I advised them I was going to raise the issue with PayPal. I heard nothing back but they accepted the refund via PayPal. I contacted them again and asked if they would prefer to arrange a courier or would they refund me for the postage which they replied it was my problem for escalating things with PayPal and to sort it myself!
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem before or do I just take it on the chin and loose the postage? Any advice on who to ship a £625 barrow in 3 boxes with safely and reliably?

If you have had your refund tell the seller to collect it,tell them its outside your door waiting for their courier to collect. They will soon change their tune and get it picked up

PayPal won't refund until the seller receives it. Once I've had the refund I'm going to give the seller the opportunity to refund the postage otherwise I'll name and shame them, I wouldn't mind if it had been some Dodgy eBay seller but it's a reputable company!

Inform PayPal of the situation and see if they're willing to help find a solution

Not an ideal situation I know, but is it not a better option to take it back to the shop yourself?
At least that way they will have to deal with you face to face. Can't imagine they will want that conversation conducted in front of other customers.
Are you sure?
