Saw a classic example last night of people blindly following "the new thing" without thinking of the practicality of what you're buying.
Imagine spending nearly 300 quid on nine foot rods and then realising they are totally useless when trying to chuck 120 yards on B2 *shakes head*
Nine foot rods have been marketed for boat work or for wading through jam rags at the local council estate pond. Literally one of the first videos of Dwarfs in use was a 4 year old Nash consultant creeping around some heath pond in London. Then people started to realise the rod tips were made of dry spaghetti.
I always dreamt as a kid of owning 13ft Bruce Ashbys. Funny how things change in the space of a couple of decades.

I obviously must feel the same way as I bought my first Dwarf rod
For my kid. He was about 10 at the time. The tip.broke.
