Definitely time, that is always the winner.
Not so sure about bait. Over the years I've seen just about anything be the voug bait, the biggest unknown being banned baits, ie would the sudden introduction of say Tigers absolutely rinse a venue?
Id say no as it still comes back to being in the right place and that's water craft, something that's lost on today's instant angler.

I quite liked the video but do think baiting situation was totally worng. Too mixed up all over the place so fish could just go down and hoover everything up. Boilie only (big baits 24mm) would make them stay and pick up one buy one. Much easier to make a hookbait stand out.

Tough one isn't it, I think I heard them say it was early spring, not sure how early it was (it may have said and I missed it) but if it was March time then lighter tactics most of us may use. Hindsight is an amazing thing, I suppose we never really know if we caught the fish in spite of or because of our tactics

I wondered if the actually abandoned a few of the ideas they had due to the camera malfunctions. But having spent all that money they kind of cobbled something together. There was quite a lot of padding in that episode. People sitting at desks in the office etc. I think they might have been struggling for footage.
Take out all the banter, the big explanations of the camera set ups, multiple shots of casting etc and there was probably about ten minutes of actual fish in front of the camera in that whole hour long production.
I'm not knocking it. I enjoyed it. But I think if they were honest the fish stuff was probably a bit of a let down.

That is true but they had option to see what is going on. Another thing I would really like to see in underwater videos is pop up 20cm of the botton, so in carps face when they move in. There is so much to film underwater and try. I hope somebody does a video like that in the future. Try this try that... That would be one great video and something many would watch. So far not a lot was tested like that on underwater videos.

Same. In terms of actual underwater footage of carp feeding it would have to be regarded as a complete disaster. All of that pre-baiting and a whole week on the water and effectively they managed to encourage one, and occasionally two, carp to feed. Hardly riveting, but I enjoyed the banter between the three of them and watched the whole thing through so it was not a complete waste of time.

Firstly, I enjoyed the film but what I found interesting was the fact that as far as I could work out they were there for 2/3 days. If you were fishing there without the benefit of seeing what was going on, the chances are after that amount of time you might have moved from that spot.

Agreed. All the presentations tried were variations on a similar theme. Would have been nice to see something blatant to see if the carp spooked off it.

I appreciate the work and video quality. But would like to see some variation. Locked up snag fishing, 3 rods on a spot. 3 different presentations see how they react. But still high quality free content

I actually really enjoyed this one, more so for the constant ribbing from Dove (reminds me of a few sessions with mates) than for the underwater footage.
Also interesting in seeing how much goes into making of one of these.
Overall if you don't like DF, you won't like this but it's worth a watch IMO
