So the Sticky Krill is that good, you have to use a different hookbait????
Have you actually used the krill hookbaits over the feed?
The shelf life's I saw were garbage, sorry. Rock hard, bland taste, full of filler. If those are 'better' than what you've used before, I dread to think what they were like. Obviously if you're using the freezer ones, ignore the last comment, as I haven't seen those so cannot comment as they might be better. I'll defer here to Mozzi who seems to know a bit about Sticky.

Decent amount of LT94 in both the shelf life and the freeze bait.
All I can think of is maybe the ones you saw the bag had a small hole that let em dry out?
At the volume sticky buy in, which is more than anyone else in the country even dynamite who have a massive coarse division, it doesn't make sense to save a few pence per kilo at the expense of the performance of the bait.
My personal opinion is the krill isn't the finest fishmeal bait available but it's a decent one and it is readily available, reasonably priced with many accessories and catches stacks of fish.
Also being a fairly neutral bait it's quite easy to give its own label such as darkening down with molasses and calanus ( ridiculously good on tench free venues )
One of the few baits I'd consider using if I didn't sell / make my own.
But there is every chance some bad bait was seen by you, I don't dispute what you say as wasn't there but it is surprising

Sticky Hookbaits are all very poor in my opinion mate like ALOT of other companies, I have complete faith in Specialized Hookbaits In particular the GPB1 and the GPB2 that's why I use others and the GPB2 are brilliant but don't do loose feed so bad to pick a fishmeal to go along with it
I use the freezer version I'm not allowed to use shelf life on the lakes I fish lol
Ones I use before was DNA (s7/slk) CC Moore (tuna/XXX) and some mainline boilies sticky krill gave me much better results but I'll be honest I don't use a lot of it and just fish for a bite at a time

Fair enough although they were very bland and I'm not sure there was much krill in it (not Qrill anyway) unless it's the cheaper carapace coarse pink stuff that a lot of places now seem to be selling.
If you're using the freezer stuff Rich, then obviously my comments aren't relevant as I've not seen them. And yes, I've used GBP before, decent hookbaits... I like the buoyancy and the concept of the crushed bits that you can shape. Unfortunately my original 2 pots, then the replacements, went mouldy after a while, but overall I liked them.

Tbh I've found a lot of companies Hookbaits to go along the boilie line ain't up to much

This was when Mark first released them Rich, but I know he altered things and I think it was only the first couple of batches that had issues so I'm sure they are all great now. A very good product.
In terms of what I use.. I make my own, generally the same bait as my freebies, just hardened with Whey Gel and albumin. I also store them in powder/salts/spices/sugars etc as then (Cork ball pop ups), they last for ever.
I also sometimes use Marks gelatin trick for coatings....don't often get it 100% right, but when I do, the gel will stay on for a good 24 hours, works very well with beef liver powder and fenugreek oleo resin.

Sounds like u got it down to a tea then, I have never made my own I'll be honest I don't even no where I would start with actually making some lol I need to leave that side of it to the experts or people who no what they are doing like you I'd mess that right up lol

Still is still quite coarse.
Every chance it's been put it as a leakage aid, shrimp shell meal is a valid ingredient in its own right if you dig a bit deeper. I wouldn't lie about them using QRILL I have zero stock in them

Qrill is orange, oily, often find bits of whole krill in it, antennae, appendages etc. Lovely pungent smell, and tastes of, surprisingly, crustaceans!
The pink stuff out there (and I've had some both from BAF and AA) is very different. It's sold as krill, and not shrimp meal. It's similar to the old pink shrimp(shell) meal but not identical. It is coarse, doesn't contain the whole krill etc etc, is dry and appears simply to be the carapace. I'm guessing it's a waste product from the production of pharma grade krill extract and oil, maybe from Aker-Biomarine? It is a very different 'meal' than the orange Qrill.

I can personally attest to the stuff they bring in as a nice premium krill new.
Although all krill meal is a by product and none has 100oil retention
